THEATER CAMP

Meet Your Counselors!

The incredible humans who'll guide your weekend of play, song, movement & joy.

Evin Terranova

FOUNDER & CAMP DIRECTOR

Evin is a former theater kid with a BFA in acting, who left the industry when the pressure and seriousness began to dim her joy. After 15 years of belting in her car and sitting teary-eyed in the audience, Evin felt the pull to return to her roots-- so she dreamed up a space where the performing arts can be a place to play, explore, and light up again, and where everyone belongs.

Bringing a decade of experience as an Empowerment & Self Love Coach and retreat facilitator, Evin created Inner Child Theater Camp as the culmination of her professional work and the 8-year-old theater nerd who has always been with her.

At its heart, ICTC is about connection to ourselves and one another, permission to set down adult perfectionism, to be authentically-expressed, silly, and free. Welcome!! ❤️

Frank Meely

Music Director + Vocal Coach

As head of Ascend Music Studios, Frank brings 2 decades of vocal coaching, music direction and performance experience to camp!

With an emphasis on healthy technique and playful exploration, Frank is an encouraging guide who helps every camper build confidence and come together to create a unified sound.

Fun fact: He’s also a certified Enneagram coach and a big believer in blending personality insight with creative growth!

Frank is elated to help you breathe deep, free your voice, and fill your heart & soul in community. No wonder our campers have dubbed him "Papa Bear" :)

He also loves to remind us that it's called PLAY for a reason: We don’t work music or theatre...we play!

Melanie Stanek

PLAY + EMBODIMENT GUIDE & ICTC CONTRIBUTOR

Melanie (she/her) is passionate about community building through creativity. She currently works as a Teaching Artist and Facilitator in schools and community settings, encouraging folks of all backgrounds to unleash their inner goofball in service of greater connection and resiliency. A long time theatre kid, singer and mover, Melanie also teaches yoga and meditation as a way to (re)connect with our most embodied selves.

She is thrilled to be a guide and supportive presence at camp, and to lead the silliest warm-up practices, theater games, meditations and more to help you get out of your head, into your body, and FREE to express, play, and connect!

Thomas Renner

Choreography + movement guide

Thomas is a professional coach, actor, movement & fitness guide, bringing a BFA from the Boston Conservatory and a lifetime of performance to Camp! Known for his vibrant energy and knack for inspiring confidence, Thomas's passion is helping people embrace their bold, authentic selves and create a life that thrills them- while having so much fun in the process :)

Beyond Camp, you can find him teaching yoga, rappelling waterfalls, rollerskating, workin' on his fitness, and performing in benefit productions- like The Boy from Oz and Gypsy- to give back to his local Dallas theater community.

Thomas cannot wait to have an absolute BLAST with you & your inner child at Camp!

Tyler Bradley

Choreography + movement guide

Tyler (she/her) is a choreographer, published poet, and producer dedicated to helping people feel seen, heard, and empowered through the arts.

She has created and toured original dance productions that blend movement and poetry to tell stories promoting mental health awareness, and performed her poetry worldwide.

Tyler believes dance lives in everyone, and loves welcoming movers of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Like ICTC, Tyler's work encourages vulnerability and self-love. She's honored to be your camp counselor, and can’t wait to move, sing, and dance with you!

Erin Ellis

Music Director + Vocal Coach

Erin brings over 10 years of experience as a vocal coach and musical director, along with a lifelong love of theater. She’s deeply passionate about teaching, mentoring, and creating joyful, supportive spaces where people can explore their voices, build confidence, and grow creatively.

Outside the theater, Erin is a proud mom of three, wife to her husband Will, and dog mom to Bear. Theater runs deep in her family, and her dream role is Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly!

Erin especially loves building community at camp, and creating an environment where creativity, curiosity, and fun can flourish. She believes everyone has a voice worth discovering, and she can't wait to guide and support you in using your voice with strength, joy, and authenticity!

Alex Terranova

operations + snack daddy

Alex has spent the last two decades leading teams and coaching men towards creating fulfilling, joyful lives. He’s written books, appeared on hundreds of podcasts, and helped transform lives through his workshops and Alchemy of Men retreats.

When his wife, Evin, shared her vision for Inner Child Theater Camp, he got it immediately: rec league sports for theater kids! A place where adults get to play, belong, and come alive.

Alex is not a theater kid, but he was deeply moved from the very first camp, witnessing people overcome fears, connect deeply, and transform through pure fun. His one musical obsession? Hamilton. A top 1% of Spotify listener, he knows almost every lyric :)

At camp, Alex handles the behind-the-scenes magic, making sure campers are well fed and nourished (hence the camper-created nickname: "Snack Daddy"), heavy things will get lifted, and our next venue homes will be found.

Wil Fisher

pLAY + EMBODIMENT GUIDE

Wil is a theater artist, coach, drag performer, and improv enthusiast who loves helping people feel more joyful, connected, and fully themselves through play and performance.

He holds master's degrees in Theater from The Hartt School and Applied Theatre from the City University of New York, and has led applied theater work with communities ranging from Brooklyn middle schoolers to university students and maximum-security inmates.

Now based in San Diego, Wil serves as the Theater Director for Positive Action Community Theater (PACT), where he leads improv-based workshops for young adults on the autism spectrum.

Wil believes everyone deserves a space to play, take risks, and express themselves authentically. He can’t wait to laugh, connect, and create alongside you at camp!

Cameron Gharabiklou

PLAY + EMBODIMENT GUIDE

Cameron Gharabiklou is a performer and improv enthusiast who believes play has the power to reconnect us with joy, creativity, and each other. After nearly two decades in the intense world of law and advocacy, Cameron experienced a turning point that opened the door to a more playful, creative, and heart-centered chapter of life.

Since then, he has found a creative home in acting, musical theater, and improv. He has performed in live theater productions, launched a house improv team in Oceanside, San Diego, hosted improv shows, and taught community improv classes.

Cameron is also a Hoffman Process graduate group leader, Crisis Text Line counselor, wedding officiant, and student of Mindful Self-Compassion. He loves creating spaces where people can connect more honestly, take creative risks, and feel fully themselves. He believes play can be brave, healing, ridiculous, and deeply human — often all at once — and can’t wait to laugh, move, and rediscover joy with you at camp.

Yvone Acosta

CHOREOGRAPHER & MOVEMENT GUIDE

Yvone has spent her life immersed in rhythm and movement. A lifelong dancer and choreographer, she found her greatest freedom through dance, but it was at Inner Child Theater Camp that she discovered her voice and a passion for singing.

A lover of musicals since childhood, Yvone has performed in stage productions over the years and brings that same creativity into her work as a first-grade teacher, where she helps children build confidence and express themselves.

Outside the classroom and studio, she embraces the beautiful chaos of motherhood, tackling family adventures with her husband and two children.

Yvone is thrilled to join the camp community this summer and can’t wait to share in the joy, creativity, and magic that make this experience so transformative.
